‘Tip of the iceberg’ – Cardiff reacts to nationwide lettuce shortage

TESCO and Morrisons have been forced to introduce strict limits on the number of lettuces shoppers are allowed to buy after a spate of cold weather in Spain resulted in a low yield of out-of-season vegetables.

This comes after the much publicised courgette crisis last week.
