Second arrest after alleged assault in Llanrumney

A SECOND arrest was made this morning after an alleged assault of a man on Saturday night in Llanrumney.

A 34-year-old man, from St Mellons, was taken to the University Hospital of Wales and is still being treated for “serious injuries”, say South Wales Police.

A 20-year-old was arrested in Adamsdown today on suspicion of assault and remains in custody.

A second man, 32, from Llanrumney, was arrested on suspicion of assault on Sunday and has now been released on bail, pending further inquiries.

Police were called to Llanrumney Avenue at 11.30 pm on Saturday.
