Three Penarth women to tackle a marathon this weekend

Trio were due to take part in Walk the Walk’s charity Moonwalk on Saturday

A MARATHON walk is a challenge that three Penarth women will still tackle this Sunday, even though their charity walk was cancelled due to the outbreak of Covid-19.

Charlotte Court, Julie Johnson and Julia Bakshi had all signed up to complete Walk the Walk’s Moonwalk in London this weekend.

The midnight walking marathon aims to raise money for breast cancer charities.

Instead of travelling to London and walking from midnight, the trio, who call themselves ‘Welsh Tough Titties’, will be doing a sunrise walk in Cardiff, setting off at 5am.

They are hoping to raise money for Breast Cancer Care, City Hospice, and Feed Llandough Hospital.

The three will be socially distancing throughout, and will be using their Facebook page to keep everyone updated on the day.
